וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֵלָ֗יו שָׁ֠מַעְתִּי אֶת־תְּפִלָּתְךָ֣ וְאֶת־תְּחִנָּתְךָ֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִתְחַנַּ֣נְתָּה לְפָנַי֒ הִקְדַּ֗שְׁתִּי אֶת־הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנִ֔תָה לָשֽׂוּם־שְׁמִ֥י שָׁ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם וְהָי֨וּ עֵינַ֧י וְלִבִּ֛י שָׁ֖ם כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃
et lui dit: "J’accueille ta prière et la supplication que tu m’as adressée: cette maison que tu as bâtie, je la sanctifie en y faisant régner mon nom à jamais, en y dirigeant constamment mes yeux et ma pensée.

If My heart and My will are there.1I.e., if My desire and My will is being followed, My Divine Presence will be there.2Even after the Beis Hamikdosh was destroyed, the Divine Presence remained on the Western Wall [כותל המערבי] of the Beis Hamikdosh.
